Dance Studio Intensive - What To Expect!

What A Dancer Needs

Remember that huge dance bag you bought when they started class? Now’s the time to use it!
Pack that thing to the brim - or zipper? Potato, Patoto.
Everything ya got… Ballet shoes, half shoes, hip hop (tennis) shoes, extra dance clothes, snacks, water, bandaids, hairbands, bobby pins - the works! There’s an old (and current) adage about professional dancers packing an entire apartment into their car trunks so they’re ready for any audition that pops up; be that dancer and bring it all!

Nourishment

Dancers expend an exorbitant amount of energy during intensive week. They need food! Be sure to pack them lunch with hydration packed sides and healthy snacks to fuel them for the entire day. And we know you already know, but water is key to a successful experience!

Growth As A Dancer

Whether you’re traveling to an intensive in another state, or putting your heart and soul into your very own dance studio’s intensive; a dancer will undoubtedly be inspired beyond all measure, pushed beyond any limits they ever put on their own dance technique, and invigorated to commit every ounce of love they have into this very rewarding sport! With that, the sky is the limit.

Finding Your People

A great thing about new or challenging adventures is that supportive relationships and teams arise naturally. It’s important to have faith that beautiful friendships are just around the corner!

The Best Experience

It’s FUN! Like, dance is really fun! No matter a dancer’s skill level or previous training - this week should be a favorite childhood memory in the making. Enthusiasm, positive vibes, and fierce support are key. Everyone has a role to play: dancers, parents/guardians, teachers… When all three work in harmony with each other, the experience is breathtaking!
